Inside, rich wood paneling, exposed beams, and vaulted ceilings create a cozy alpine atmosphere perfect for relaxing and reconnecting. The open living area brings everyone together around the wood-burning stove style fireplace, while multiple bedrooms and flexible sleeping spaces make it ideal for families and groups. The open living area and updated kitchen make it easy for families to spend quality time together throughout the day. Modern appliances make preparing meals on the spacious granite countertops a pleasure. Gather around the dining table for games and dinner, or relaxing on the couches by the wood-burning fireplace while enjoying a movie on the HDTV, everyone can stay connected in one comfortable space. About the Area:
Tucked in one of South Lake Tahoe’s most established residential neighborhoods, the Sierra Tract offers a peaceful, family-friendly setting that feels like a true local community rather than a busy resort zone. Quiet streets are ideal for bike rides, evening walks, and kids playing outside, while the surrounding pine forest and nearby meadows create a calm mountain atmosphere. Families love the area’s easy access to outdoor recreation, including nearby trail systems for hiking and biking, the Upper Truckee River, and open spaces perfect for exploring year-round. You’re also just minutes from everyday conveniences like grocery stores, restaurants, and coffee shops, making longer stays comfortable and stress-free. In the winter, Heavenly and Sierra-at-Tahoe are a short drive away, and in the summer, Lake Tahoe’s beaches, parks, and family attractions are close at hand. Sierra Tract strikes the perfect balance for families looking to relax in a quiet neighborhood while staying conveniently close to everything that makes Tahoe a great year-round destination.

Families staying in the area will find several fun, easygoing attractions nearby that are perfect for making Tahoe memories. In the summer, Tahoe Trout Farm is a longtime local favorite where kids and adults alike can catch their own fish in a relaxed, beginner-friendly setting. Just down the road, Magic Carpet Golf offers a classic Tahoe experience with whimsical mini-golf courses that are great for family competition and laughs. For year-round outdoor fun, Adventure Lake Tahoe provides guided tours, bike and paddle rentals, and seasonal activities that help visitors explore the lake and surrounding trails with ease.

Property & Booking Information:
We manage several nearby homes, so if you’re planning for a larger group, we can help coordinate multiple properties. Once your reservation is confirmed, you’ll receive a rental agreement for signature. The home will be stocked with a starter supply of essentials including soaps, paper products, and one set of linens and towels. For longer stays, guests may wish to bring or purchase additional supplies and use the in-home laundry. During winter months, a 4x4, AWD or chains on your vehicle is strongly recommended due to mountain roads and winter conditions. Snowstorms and icy terrain can make access difficult without proper traction.
To ensure a smooth and compliant stay, please review all local rules included in your agreement. Both the City of South Lake Tahoe and El Dorado County actively enforce vacation rental regulations.

Key ordinances include:
• Occupancy and vehicle limits must never be exceeded
• Street parking is prohibited
• Outdoor areas may not be used after 10 p.m.
• Trash must be secured in bear box in driveway (pickup Wednesday; instructions provided)

Pets are not allowed in this home, but we can help locate a dog-friendly property for trained Service or ESA animals. NoiseAware monitors decibel levels in a privacy-safe way to protect quiet hours. Exterior cameras monitor parking compliance only and no indoor surveillance is used. For stays of 30+ days, contact us for the long-term cancellation policy.
